Harlow School Sports Partnership

After 5 years of trying – the weather gods, the Sports Leaders from MHA and the Harlow Primary School Staff combined strengths to defeat the elusive Quad Kids ‘Beast’. A superb day saw in excess of 320 pupils descend upon Mark Hall Athletics track for the annual Quad Kids Athletics event. A new plan of action and greate preparation ensured that the event was not only completed by all athletes but in record time – with all schools finishing well ahead of the scheduled timings!

Both events (a morning for the Years 3 and 4 and the afternoon for the Years 5 and 6) were really well attended. The athletes produced some amazing performances given the fluctuating but warm conditions rain as they took part in a sprint (50m or 75m), standing long jump, a howler throw and a long distance run (400m or 600m).

School Partnership Manager, David Stacey was delighted with the fantastic support of all the school staff, who enabled the children to compete in the 4 disciplines in record time.
