Superstars Festival – outstanding success.

Once again, the Superstars Festival was one of the highlights in the Harlow SSP calendar and reminds everyone involved of the amazing work school staff continue to achieve in very difficult circumstances.

Arriving on Friday morning at Church Langley Primary School’s all-weather pitch, to see a range of activities and sports equipment set out against a backdrop of brilliant sunshine, it’s no wonder that the 24 teams of 4 pupils from Harlow primary schools were so excited for what was to come. And the pupils and staff were not disappointed! Fantastic Sports Leaders from Church Langley Primary School worked tirelessly in the heat with outstanding compassion, patience and encouragement to ensure all the children were fully included as they rotated around  the 6 events (football, hockey, bench ball, boccia, basketball and athletic relay races) throughout the morning.

The staff beamed with pride as many of the pupils who find aspects of school life challenging, showed great resilience and strength of character to take part in new activities in a new setting; the children were incredible and it was an honour to witness their enjoyment.

Harlow SSP manager David Stacey gave huge thanks to his Sports Leaders and the school staff for providing the children with such fantastic opportunities. A morning of amazing teamwork.

24 Teams took part: St Albans, St Lukes, Longwood, Milwards x 2, Potter Street x 2, Fawbert and Barnard x 3, Pemberley x 2, Henry Moore x 2, Nazeing x 2, Purford Green x 2, Cooks Spinney x 2, The Downs and Church Langley x 3
