Huge Numbers of Years 3 and 4, Enjoy Football Festival

Following a morning of glorious sunshine, the 30 teams of the Years 3 and 4 continued as the younger ones had done in the morning to enjoy the last of the summer’s weather at Mark Hall Academy.

Again, with some creative scheduling to ensure maximum participation, the small pools of teams played a series of matches. Once more, the 5-a-side format was continuously adapted to encourage greater participation and teamwork. The afternoon saw some wonderful goals, tackles and saves, with moments of individual skill and great link-up play a feature throughout the afternoon.

As ever, thanks to the school staff for providing the opportunities for the children and to the event staff (Gill Pardoe and Luke Hammond) for assisting David Stacey in running the event.

The 30 teams taking part: Nazeing x 2, Purford Green x 2, The Downs x 2, Freshwaters, Henry Moore x 4, Hare Street x 2, Jerounds x 2, Potter Street x 2, Water Lane, Kingsmoor, Milwards x 2, Katherines, Longwood x 2, Church Langley x 2, Fawbert and Barnard, Newhall, Tanys Dell, Cooks Spinney and Saint Nicholas.
