An amazing 24 teams of Girls entered the finals for this Years 5/6 Football tournament – with Milwards 1 narrowly edging out Freshwaters and Hare Street 1 in some close final games.
The morning frost was replaced by brilliant sunshine as the teams were divided into 6 groups to play on the all-weather pitch at Passmores. With 3 young leaders provided by the secondary school to support David Stacey, Luke Hammond and Gill Pardoe, the event ran very smoothly, and the girls managed to play 38 between them in under 2 and half hours.
