Congratulations to the team from Nazeing 2, who narrowly triumphed during the afternoon Years 5 and 6 Boccia Finals at Mark Hall Sports Centre.
Like the morning event for younger pupils, 27 teams competed in a series of group matches before the eventual winners were announced. Again, the fabulous Sports Leaders from Mark Hall who had given of their time when they were on a non-pupil day, ensured the event ran smoothly and the children had a wonderful time. The standard of play was excellent, as was the behaviour of the children throughout.
Event organisers David Stacey and Luke Hammond echoed the sentiments of the morning by thanking the staff, the pupils and the leaders; it really was a fantastic event. We wish Nazeing 2 all the very best as they represent Harlow in the Essex County Finals early in the New Year.
27 teams and nearly 130 pupils attended: Church Langley x 6; Hare Street x 2; Hatfield Heath x 2; Henry Moore x 3; Holy Cross; Jerounds x 2; Milwards x 2; Nazeing x 4; Pemberley; Potter Street x 2; and Tanys Dell x 2.
