Congratulations to the team from Freshwaters 2, who remained unbeaten throughout the Basketball Finals to secure victory and a place in the forthcoming County Finals Event.

The 7 finalists from last week’s Basketball Qualifiers returned to Mark Hall Sports Centre to compete for the Year 5 and 6 Basketball title. The standard was very high, and the teams played with great determination, skill and sportsmanship. With all teams playing against each other, there was no need for any semi-finals or finals, with Freshwaters taking first place with an impressive 18 points and 6 victories. We wish them well for the County Finals on Thursday 12^th December at the University of Colchester.

As ever, thanks were given to the incredible school staff who organise for the children to take part in these amazing opportunities and to Luke Hammond, Gill Pardoe and David Stacey for their tireless work to run these events.

2^nd place – St Nicholas – 14 points (35 baskets scored)

3^rd place – Churchgate – 14 points (31 baskets scored)

6^th place – Freshwaters 1 – 8 points

7^th place – Nazeing 1 – 6 points
