Success at Kurling Festival for Years 3 and 4

Well done to the 16 teams who attended the Years 3 and 4 Kurling Festival at Mark Hall Sports Centre. The hall was alive with the sound of Kurling stones sliding along the floor; chatter as the children discussed tactics and strategies; and cheers of delight as their skills improved throughout the morning.

As ever, the children were a delight and the staff who train and organise the children to and from these events were filled with pride watching them develop physically and socially. As ever thanks was given to Luke Hammond (SGO) David Stacey (Harlow School Sport Partnership Manager) and Gill Pardoe for their work organising the event for nearly 100 pupils. In addition, a huge thank you was given to Mr. Dawes (Mark Hall Academy) and his team of 8 Year 10 Sports Leaders who were amazing; they helped to ensure the event ran very smoothly and the participants made great strides due to their encouragement and enthusiasm.

Teams taking part were:

Church Langley x 5, St James, Hare Street x 2, Freshwaters x 2, Jerounds x 2, Tanys Dell x 2 and Little Parndon x 2
