Congratulations were given to all the teams who attended the annual Harlow Primary Schools Gymnastics Finals at the Great Parndon Community Centre on Friday; as always the standard was very high in all 3 competitions, largely thanks to the dedication of the school staff who go that extra mile to prepare the children outside of lesson times.
With expert judging provided by Peter James and his team of coaches from the Harlow Gymnastic Club, the day ran very smoothly, and all the gymnasts performed amazing well on either their floor routine, body management or on the vault. The parents and family friends watching were enthralled by the tumbles and the strength and flexibility on show. Scores were incredibly close between several of the teams (in one case two teams were separated by the tightest of margins, 0.1!)
Primary School Sports Partnership Manager, David Stacey, thanked all the participants for producing such an amazing event.
“The skill and level of expertise on show throughout the day was incredible and I am delighted that Harlow schools continue to work together to support our local clubs, who provide a great service to the community. The children of Harlow have so many fantastic opportunities to take part in competitions and festivals which cater for all ages and abilities. Great job everyone!”
