Henry Moore take Sportshall Title

A huge thank you to all the teams, athletes and staff that attended the Years 5 and 6 indoor sportshall athletics events on Friday at Mark Hall Sports Centre; it was another fantastic event for the children of Harlow and once again, thanks to amazing preparation and support, the event ran like clockwork. Our thanks must be extended to the PE staff from MHA and their amazing Sports Leaders, who officiated superbly throughout the day and to David Stacey, Luke Hammond, Gill Pardoe and Sam Hammond for organising the events. We really have an incredible team of people working to produce these fantastic events for the children of Harlow.

And so, to the results. The children worked fantastically well to produce some outstanding efforts on the track and in the field. There were some stella individual performances, with some very talented sprinters and jumpers amongst the field. Ultimately, having had 25 teams competing with over 540 athletes taking part Henry Moore narrowly edged out Church Langley by 12 points to take the title from last years champions. Our congratulations were passed to the Henry Moore School and we wished them all the best for the Essex County Finals which are coming up soon.

Schools competing were: Abbotsweld, Church Langley x 2, Saint Nicholas, Latton Green, Jerounds, Longwood, Churchgate, Katherines, Nazeing, Hare Street, Roydon, Pemberley, Freshwaters, Hatfield Heath, Harlowbury, Holy Cross, Water Lane, Newhall, Fawbert and Barnard, Henry Moore, St James, Tanys Dell, William Martin and Milwards.
