Cycling Event – Wheelie Good Fun!

And the fun continued into the afternoon as the annual Cycling Festival at Church Langley Primary School rolled into town again! With a few tweaks to the format, more than 18 teams, nearly 80 pupils enjoyed an hour of fun and games on a bicycle. Thanks to the amazing work of the HDPSSA (Harlow and District School Sports Partnership) the pool of 15 bikes were put to great use throughout the afternoon, enabling children to develop skills and confidence with their peers. The bikes, which are loaned to all the primary schools throughout the year to support Bikeability, were all given the ‘once-over’ by our resident mechanic and School Games Organiser, Luke Hammond. As ever, these events don’t just happen by chance, the hard work behind the scenes and on the day benefits the children hugely – thanks to David, Luke, Gill, Steve and all the school staff for their efforts.

Teams taking part were as follows: Hare Street x 2, Holy Cross x 2, Pemberley x 2, Roydon, Freshwaters x 2, Potter Street, The Downs, Church Langley x 5.
