Harlow School Sports Partnership

Congratulations to the 5 teams of pupils who ventured out onto the all-weather pitch at Church Langley Primary School to take part in the rearranged Cricket Skills Event.  Sadly, due to the recent heatwave, several teams who were booked on were unable to make this morning’s event due to rearranged sports days and staff absence. However, the 60+ children who did take part were guided expertly by Year 6 Sports Leaders from Church Langley through a series of fun cricket-themed activities. The children worked really well in their teams, making improvements with their batting, bowling and fielding skills.

Despite the warm conditions, the children keep going throughout the shortened morning, enjoying the ice-pops during the mid-activity break (a shame that not all were frozen!). As ever, thanks to the Harlow school staff and organisers David Stacey and Luke Hammond for putting on these events. Teams taking part: Church Langley x 2, Pemberley, The Downs and Roydon.
